Sharing is caring (Yes because the Care Bears Show should have gotten more credit for their impact on humanity!…but I digress) and back when i changed to a plant based diet and still wanted to compete as a bodybuilder i was thankful for those who openly shared their experiences and journeys. So here is a little video blog of my experience back in 2017 when i started training for my 2nd bodybuilding competition on a plant based diet. 

One small note: In changing to a Vegan diet  i had a lot of recommendations for soy products to be the main source of my protein- especially to build the lean muscle needed for competition, but my body rejected it and i went through some serious side effects like hives, bloating, fatigue, constipation, weight gain, and diarrhea. It was not pretty. It did a number on me mentally as well. 
Everyone’s body will react differently however, i’m not against soy it’s just not for me.  

Now i do only whole foods. If doesn’t come to my plant looking like it did when it came out the ground –  i don’t eat it. The FDA is far to lacked and dare i say politically corrupted on its regulations of what is allowed in processed food or any products for that matter but that’s a whole other post.
